From the Basement to the Exit.

The OnBoard Effect didn’t start with a big idea—it started in a basement, with a crooked white board with “Failure is not an option” written in all caps and a 90 day plan which led to 6,205 days of building a company from scratch: through crashes, comebacks, near insolvency, and eventually, a successful exit. We are the founders who walked that road. We are leveraging that shared, hard-earned experience and network to solve your next big problem.

“Failure is not an option.”

The Belief System of an Operator.

Companies don’t stall for lack of vision but when execution falters and tough calls go unmade. Consultants sit on the sidelines. The OnBoard Effect embeds alongside founders with hands-on experience and operator discipline to cut through fog, reignite momentum, and leave every business stronger than we found it.

The Operators.

Co-Founder

JB is a founder and operator with more than a decade of hands-on leadership building, scaling, and exiting businesses across fast-growth environments. He thrives where vision and execution meet-turning opportunity into discipline, developing teams and systems built for real scale, and driving performance in moments where clarity and precision matter most. His approach is grounded in experience earned under pressure: no theory, no recycled playbooks-just the practical judgment of someone who’s been in seat.

He partners directly with founders and leadership teams, embedding alongside them to accelerate momentum, navigate complexity, and leave every organization stronger than he found it. Whether shaping strategy, fortifying operations, or sharpening decision-making, he brings a builder’s mindset and an operator’s discipline to every stage of growth.

Off the clock, JB can usually be found surfing, racing cars, or raising his two daughters-three activities that regularly remind him he’s not nearly as in control as he likes to think.
